Universal Investment Group has appointed Jeremy Albrecht as its new country head and CEO for Luxembourg. 

Albrecht will oversee both UI Luxembourg, the largest AIFM and third-party management company in Luxembourg, and UI efa, the fund administration arm of the platform. Together, the Luxembourg operations manage approximately 400 billion euros in assets under administration.

Albrecht brings over 20 years of experience in the asset servicing industry. Before joining Universal Investment, he served as global head of client coverage at RBC Investor & Treasury Services and continued in this role at Caceis after it acquired RBC’s operations. He was responsible for regional strategies and cross-continental opportunities, based in Luxembourg.

Universal Investment’s Luxembourg platform has experienced significant growth, with a 33 percent increase in assets administrated last year, the firm said. Albrecht will focus on expanding the platform’s product offering and strengthening its support for asset managers, particularly in fund distribution across continental Europe.

Albrecht, a French national based in Luxembourg, expressed enthusiasm about his new role. “The Luxembourg platform is well-positioned for future growth, and I’m excited to help build on its successful trajectory. By leveraging the combined strengths of UI efa and UI Luxembourg, we can deliver compelling solutions for our clients,” he said in a statement.

Waystone appoints Klajdi Papadhimitr to lead Luxembourg

Waystone has appointed Klajdi Papadhimitri as managing director, client solutions, for continental Europe, based in its Luxembourg office. Papadhimitri brings over 15 years of experience in fund distribution, regulatory compliance, and client-focused solutions, including senior roles at Pictet Group and big four firms. 

At Pictet, he helped establish the fund distribution department, consolidating services into a comprehensive offering. In his new role, Papadhimitri will enhance Waystone’s service offerings to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions for institutional investors and asset managers across Europe.

Minal Patel to head infrastructure at Schroders

In other transfer news, Schroders Capital has appointed Minal Patel as global head of infrastructure, a newly created role within its 97.3 billion dollar private markets business. Patel will lead the firm’s global infrastructure operations and work with the senior team to shape its global strategy. 

Schroders Capital’s infrastructure division includes Schroders Greencoat, one of the largest managers of renewable and energy transition infrastructure globally, with a presence in the UK, Europe, the US, and Asia. Patel joined Schroders Greencoat in 2019 as a partner and has since overseen private institutional funds, new investment structuring, and investor relationships. She brings 18 years of renewable energy investment experience, including previous roles at Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Foresight.

Moonfare appoints Heike Hövekamp

Moonfare has appointed Heike Hövekamp as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer and member of its Executive Committee. 

Hövekamp brings over 20 years of experience in legal and compliance within the financial services industry, having previously served as Head of Compliance at Société Générale and held various roles at Commerzbank. Reporting to Co-CEO Lorenz Jüngling, she will focus on strengthening Moonfare’s legal and compliance operations as the firm continues to expand private market opportunities for investors globally.
