A total of 43 new Reserved Alternative Investment Funds, or Raifs, were registered in Luxembourg during November, indicating that the market for these alternative investments is not slowing down as much as initially thought, according to data released on Thursday by Luxembourg Business Register.
The register, which makes public a list of newly register Raifs twice a month, had reported merely four new registered funds in its 15 November report. But the full-month total of new registrations reported on Thursday amounted to 43, clearly above the 28 new Raifs registered during October and just above the 41 new Raifs registered in November last year.
With the November data, Luxembourg’s Raif market now is on track to set a new record. So far this year, 435 new Raifs have been created, compared to 417 in 2021. During the first half of this year, new registrations were up 36 percent from last year.
