In the Luxembourg transfer market, Banque de Luxembourg Investments and JP Morgan Asset Management both announced that they have strengthened their sustainable investing teams. Consultancy EY meanwhile said it has created a new Luxembourg team dedicated to the public sector.
Roland Rott and Soňa Stadtelmeyer-Petru (pictured) have joined JP Morgan’s sustainable investing team. Both hires will report to JPM’s Global Head of Sustainable Investing, Jennifer Wu.
Roland Rott
Rott has been appointed Head of Sustainable Investing Research, a newly created role with a global remit. Based in London, Rott, former head of ESG & Sustainable Investment Research at La Française Group, will oversee a team of individuals, including several climate scientists, specialising in developing ESG and thematic research, data and analytical solutions for JPMAM’s portfolio managers, research analysts and clients.
Soňa Stadtelmeyer-Petru
Stadtelmeyer-Petru, who joins from Allianz Investment Management, has been appointed Lead Sustainable Investing Strategist. As part of this newly redesigned role, she will be overseeing JPM’s sustainable investing efforts in Emea countries.
Pierre-Jean Forrer
Olivier Coekelbergs, Country Managing Partner of EY Luxembourg, has announced the creation of a team dedicated to the Public Sector, with the appointment of Pierre-Jean Forrer as Principal, as Government and Public Sector Leader. Forrer previously served EY as head of its technology transformation consulting team.
“This reorganisation responds to the increased needs of institutions in a context of profound transformation, within a country undergoing full economic and demographic expansion, and in which citizens’ expectations of a digitalized and accessible administrative system are growing,” EY said.
Attractiveness study for Luxembourg
EY said that in 2022, for the first time, EY’s attractiveness survey – already in place across Europe – will be deployed in Luxembourg. “This study conducted by EY is recognised as an essential source of information on a country’s main assets, making it possible to examine its attractiveness as an investment destination and providing reliable insights for companies and governments to make economically and- politically sound strategies that promote growth and investment.
Banque de Luxembourg Investments
BLI - Banque de Luxembourg Investments said it fund manager Joël Reuland since the beginning of this year focuses on the management of the mixed profiled funds BL Global 30, BL Global 50 and BL Global 75. Responsibility for BL Sustainable Horizon was transferred to Annick Drui, and Maxime Hoss will become the new fund manager of BL Global Equities.
Annick Drui
Annick Drui,who has co-managed SRI fund BL Sustainable Horizon since the beginning of 2021 alongside the fund’s historical manager Joël Reuland, has become the fund’s lead manager since the beginning of this year. Reuland will continue in the investment team as co-manager.
Maxime Hoss
Maxime Hoss takes over from Reuland as lead fund manager of the BL Global Equities fund. He has been at BLI since 2013 as a fund selector and fund of funds manager. Maxime also has previous experience in direct-line fund management, and proven expertise in asset allocation.
The fund’s investment principles will continue unchanged “as it pursues the selection of quality companies with strong and sustainable competitive advantages, robust cash flow generation and profitable growth prospects,” said BLI, adding that “there will nevertheless be a greater emphasis on quality growth stocks.”
