This week’s overview of transfers and other people moves in and around Luxembourg includes updates from Neuberger Berman, Davy Select, Fokus Nordic, Eurex Clearing, Jonk Entrepreneuren and Akkodis Benelux. 

Maya Bhandari 

Neuberger Berman has appointed Maya Bhandari as chief investment officer, multi-asset strategies, EMEA. Based in London, she will lead the firm’s multi-asset investment and commercial efforts across the region.

Bhandari joins from BNP Paribas Asset Management, where she was global head of multi-asset. She brings over 20 years of experience and will play a key role in Neuberger Berman’s Asset Allocation and Public Private Investment Committees.

Her appointment follows the September 2024 hire of Jeff Blazek as multi-asset co-CIO in New York.

Emma Morgan

Davy, the Bank of Ireland subsidiary’s investment platform, has appointed Emma Morgan as head of investments for Davy Select. She brings over 16 years of financial services experience, having spent more than a decade as a portfolio manager and investment consultant at Morningstar Wealth in London. Before that, she was part of the multi-manager team at AIB Investment Managers in Dublin.

In her new role, Morgan will oversee investment strategy and product development for Davy Select manages over 5 billion euros in assets for individual investors and intermediaries.

Fokus Nordic appoints new deputy CEO, CFO

Nordic real estate investment manager Fokus Nordic has announced key leadership appointments ahead of the closing of its acquisition of DEAS Asset Management on 1 April. Mikael Freudmann will join Fokus Nordic Group Management as deputy group CEO while continuing as CEO of Fokus Nordic Sweden. Mikael Mosekilde has been appointed group CFO.

In Denmark, Michael Rønnelund will take on the role of CEO of Fokus Nordic Denmark. Henrik Køhn, currently chief investment officer for Denmark, and Anders Skov, currently chief financial officer for Denmark, will join the Danish Management Board as of 1 April 2025.

Fokus Nordic has secured regulatory approvals for the DEAS Asset Management acquisition. Once completed, the firm will manage approximately 9 billion euros in assets on behalf of Nordic and international investors.

Erik Tim Müller

Erik Tim Müller, CEO of Eurex Clearing, has informed the supervisory board that he will not seek another three-year term after March 2025. After nearly three decades with Deutsche Börse Group, Müller will leave the firm by the end of 2025 to pursue new entrepreneurial opportunities.

Müller joined Deutsche Börse in 1997 and took over Group Treasury and Investor Relations following the company’s IPO in 2001. He later served as managing director for corporate strategy and mergers & acquisitions before becoming a member of the executive board of Eurex Clearing in 2013. He has also been a member of the Eurex Deutschland Management Board.

Sven Baltes

The board of Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg has named Sven Baltes as director, succeeding Nadia Battello. Baltes, formerly manager of Luxinnovation’s startup relations, will take up his new role on 15 March.

Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg is an NGO which aims to inspire and support the next generation of entrepreneurs. Baltes will be supported by a new leadership team. Yves Wiltgen has been appointed deputy director, while Myriam Baustert will oversee the organisation’s twelve programmes.

Robert van der Eijk

Robert van der Eijk has been named CEO of Akkodis Benelux, succeeding Serge Vandenhoudt. With 30 years of leadership experience and a background in companies such as NTT Data Belgium, PWC, and Capgemini Invent, he will focus on driving sustainable growth and innovation for the digital transformation and engineering specialist.

Akkodis, a subsidiary of the Adecco Group, has over 1,750 experts in the Benelux and 50,000 worldwide.
