Samuel Kuborn is joining investor services firm IQ-EQ in a new role of regional chief operating officer, continental Europe, the firm announced on Wednesday.
Kuborn, until recently at RBC Investor & Treasury Services, brings to IQ-EQ 26 years of experience in the investor services space, including senior roles in various areas of operations and client servicing, where he has led pan-European and global teams.
In his role at IQ-EQ, Samuel will hold responsibility for day-to-day operations across the Group’s Luxembourg, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium and Cyprus offices, making sure regional strategy and plans are successfully implemented.
Ongoing regionalisation
The creation of this new leadership position reflects the ongoing regionalisation of the group’s operating model as it seeks to ensure it has the right expertise and oversight in each of its key regions globally, the firm said.
Kuborn will report directly to Diana Senanayake, IQ-EQ’s new Regional CEO for Continental Europe and Managing Director for Luxembourg, who joined the business at the start of August. He will also have a dotted line into the Group Chief Operating Officer, Joanna Macleod.
Before joining IQ-EQ, he was managing director, Product & Profitability of the Trustee, Depositary & Fund Corporate Services division of RBC Investor & Treasury Services. He was also a member of its Continental Europe & Offshore Operating Committee.
