This week’s overview of transfers and appointments in and around Luxembourg includes one update from Federated Hermes.
Thomas Dirkmaat
Thomas Dirkmaat is appointed as director Business Development Benelux at Federated Hermes, a globally operating asset management firm specialising in sustainable investments. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing and implementing Federated Hermes’ distribution strategy in the Benelux region.
Prior to this, Dirkmaat worked at Schroders for nearly thirteen years, where he was responsible for strategic distribution, particularly in the Netherlands. According to a press release announcing his appointment, Dirkmaat’s recruitment is the latest in a series of European hires by Federated Hermes. The asset manager aims to expand its distribution capabilities within the CEMEA region.
Federated Hermes was formed following the acquisition of the UK-based Hermes Investment Management by the US firm Federated Investors in 2018. Since 2020, the combined name has been displayed on the company’s headquarters. According to the latest figures, the asset manager oversees more than 800 billion dollar in assets under management.
