Thibault Delbarge has been appointed as Head of Benelux at private equity manager Altaroc. He has fourteen years of experience in asset management, including nearly four years at JP Morgan Asset Management.
The French-Swiss Altaroc started its operations in the Benelux last month.
Since 2016, Delbarge has worked at Allianz Global Investors, Brookfield Asset Management, and Janus Henderson Investors, where he was responsible for business development for private banks and multi-family offices in the Benelux across all asset classes.
Schroders
Nick Montgomery is promoted to the role of Global Head of Real Estate, subject to regulatory approval, alongside the formation of a new leadership team. He has been at Schroders for 12 years and now will take over this role from Sophie Van Oosterom.
Roger Hennig becomes Head of Continental Europe, based in Zurich. He previously led Schroders Capital’s real estate team in Switzerland and has extensive pan-European knowledge and experience.
Kieran Farrelly becomes Global Chief Investment Officer for Real Estate, in addition to his existing Solutions responsibilities, and James Macnamara will assume global responsibility for value-add and alternatives investments, building on his current focus as Head of Strategy, Hotels and Operating Assets.
Last week Schroders announced the appointment of two Executive Directors to the Board effective from 1 January 2025, subject to regulatory approval.
Meagen Burnett will be appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding Richard Oldfield who was named Group Chief Executive earlier this month.
Johanna Kyrklund will also join the Board as Group Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Kyrklund’s elevation to the Board underscores the importance of investment expertise and performance to the business and Schroders clients, as is stated in the press release.
Euroclear
Geert Desmedt has been appointed as CEO of Euroclear (France, Belgium, and the Netherlands). With over 25 years of experience within the Euroclear group, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. He has held several senior positions, including Head of Operational Risk and Head of Operations and Client Service Asia. Until today, he was Co-CEO of the funds platform MFEX, which was acquired by Euroclear in 2021.
Desmedt succeeds Guillaume Eliet, who has led ESES since 2021 and will now take on the role of CRO of the Euroclear group.
Candriam
Nicolas Jullien has been appointed as the global head of Fixed Income at Candriam, the company announced last week in a press release. He will succeed Philippe Noyard in this role, effective from 1 January 2025, ahead of Philippe’s planned retirement after 35 years at Candriam.
Jullien (CFA) has been with Candriam since 2007, a global leader in multi-asset management focused on sustainable and responsible investing, and has worked closely with Philippe Noyard and CIO Nicolas Forest throughout this time (17 years). Candriam describes this as a well-deserved promotion for Jullien and thanks Noyard for his long-standing service.
