This week’s overview of transfers, appointments, promotions, and other people news includes updates from Quintet, Governance.com, Waystone, Crestbridge and PwC Luxembourg.
Gerwin Wijnia and Iris van de Looij
Gerwin Wijnia, Chief Investment Officer at InsingerGilissen, the Dutch subsidiary of Luxembourg-headquartered Quintet Private Bank, is leaving after over seventeen years. He will join another private bank from 1 February. Iris van de Looij (photo) will assume his responsibilities next to her role as head of investment & client solutions.
Wijnia completes his tenure at InsingerGilissen this week. From 1 February, he will manage customised investments for large clients at another private bank, as confirmed by InsingerGillissen to Investment Officer.
Van de Looij, the former chair of Dutch fund industry association Dufas, was appointed as Head of Investment & Client Solutions (ICS) at InsingerGillissen last November. In this role, she focuses on further developing the investment services of the private bank and parent company Quintet. She is also responsible for the bank’s lending and dealing room operations in the Netherlands.
Liliana Solomon and Ian Lilleby
Liliana Solomon (photo) has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Dublin-headquartered asset services specialist and management company Waystone, at group level. The firm also appointed Ian Lilleby as Chief Information, Technology and Security Officer.
Solomon replaces interim CFO John Leonard, who will continue as Deputy Group CFO. She brings over 25 years of financial leadership and business transformation experience across various industries including telecommunications and hospitality. Her expertise in strong financial management and business results will aid Waystone in its next growth phase.
Prior to Waystone, Solomon was CFO at Awaze Group and held senior roles at Vodafone Group, T-Mobile UK, and Deutsche Telekom. She has served as CFO and in executive leadership positions at several large, international, and fast-growing private and public companies.
Ian Lilleby has a 25-year history in driving digital transformation, business optimisation, and cybersecurity across sectors including fintech and energy. He will lead technology and information security across Waystone, supporting business growth and innovation.
These appointments follow the arrival of new Waystone Group CEO, Sanjiv Sawhney, who joined the company in December from Citi.
Mathieu Feldmann
Mathieu Feldmann, 47, has joined PwC Luxembourg as a new partner from 8 January 2024. He brings 18 years of experience advising local and multinational companies on restructuring, liquidations, and general corporate law matters. He joins the Entity Governance & Compliance (EGC) department, assisting clients with governance and company secretary matters.
Feldmann began his career in 2001 as an associate, initially advising financial sector clients on tax before joining the Corporate Structuring Department. He moved to PwC Legal in 2018, focusing on complex domestic and international corporate restructurings, corporate simplification, and general corporate law. He has managed numerous voluntary liquidation proceedings across different jurisdictions.
Ian Atkinson and Bert Boerman
At Governance.com, a Luxembourg-based process automation platform for the asset management industry, founder Bert Boerman has passed his CEO role to Ian Atkinson. Boerman will remain as chairman and director of strategic growth.
Atkinson, an industry veteran, has led the company’s client implementations and business development as COO & CCO over the past two years.
The company stated that this CEO transition will capitalise on the high demand for its solutions and the rapid growth of the process automation business, enhancing its focus on clients and innovation. Bert Boerman co-founded the company ten years ago with his twin brother Rob.
Bert Boerman commented, “This transition is a natural step in our company’s journey. Ian’s experience and expertise make him the ideal choice to lead Governance.com into the future. As Chairman and Director of Strategic Growth, I’m excited to work more closely with our valued clients, ensuring that our solutions meet their evolving needs and expectations.”

49 Promotions at Crestbridge
Forty-nine staff members at fund services provider Crestbridge have been promoted as of the new year.
This latest round includes six senior-level promotions. In Crestbridge’s London office, Briony Rea (Real Estate) and Victoria Harvey (Regulated Services) have been promoted to Director. From its Jersey office, Dino Vicente (Private Equity) and Simone Duhamel (Finance) have been promoted to Director and Director, Head of Financial Performance, respectively.
Edge Meredith (Private Equity) and Jackie Schwarz (Fund Services) have been elevated to Associate Director.
Crestbridge, a global administration, management & corporate governance solutions business, now employs some 500 people and is led by Dean Hodcroft as chief executive officer. Mike Edward, chief people officer, emphasised their commitment to employee career growth by offering structured, personalised development paths and opportunities for promotions at their convenience.
