ABBL appoints Sandrine Roux

The Association des Banques et Banquiers Luxembourg (ABBL) has appointed Sandrine Roux as member of the management board and Secretary General. She succeeds Camille Seillès and joins the leadership alongside Ananda Kautz, board member responsible for innovation, payments and sustainability, and CEO Jerry Grbic.

Roux joined ABBL in April as head of banking regulation and previously worked for more than seven years at Banque Havilland, where she was a member of the management committee, and ten years at Edmond de Rothschild Europe SA.

She has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry and brings broad expertise across multiple fields. Within the regulatory unit, Roux will work with Jonathan Hug, promoted in April as head of legal, tax and compliance, and Marilyn Rinck, now head of banking regulation, financial markets and ESG

Roux will represent the ABBL at the European Banking Federation and serve as a member of the CSSF Advisory Committee on Prudential Regulation.

Banque Internationale à Luxembourg

Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, known as BIL, has named Christine Huberty as chief information officer, effective 15 September. She succeeds Olivier Ramlot, who has left the bank to pursue a new professional opportunity.

Huberty joined BIL in 2022 as a senior business analyst and quickly advanced through several roles, including IT area lead and deputy CIO. She now leads the IT function, reporting to chief operations officer Isa Scheunpflug, and will be responsible for strengthening the bank’s technological infrastructure to support its development.

Before BIL, Huberty spent more than 20 years at Clearstream Services Luxembourg, working on strategic projects in a variety of roles. She holds a master’s degree in applied economics from the Université Catholique de Louvain.
