Amundi appointed Alessia Berardi as head of macroeconomics at the Amundi Investment Institute. In this role, she will be responsible for global macroeconomic analysis and retains responsibility for emerging markets strategy. She is also a member of Amundi’s international investment committee.

Berardi began her financial career in 1998, focusing on the major developed market economies. Since 2013, she has led Amundi’s research department in London, with a specific focus on global emerging markets. Her expertise spans a wide range of geographic regions and themes, from macroeconomics to asset classes. In 2022, she was appointed head of macroeconomic strategy research for emerging markets within the Amundi Investment Institute. Berardi is based in London.

AEW (Natixis IM)

Real estate manager AEW, part of Natixis IM, has appointed Anthony Butler as head of industrial and logistics Europe. The appointment takes effect in March 2026. Butler will be responsible for the European strategy and management of AEW’s industrial and logistics portfolio. He will report from London to Vanessa Roux-Collet, European CEO.

Butler has more than 30 years of experience in real estate investments in Europe and Asia-Pacific. He joins AEW from Mirastar REIM, where he was co-founder and CIO. Over the past six years, he built Mirastar into a pan-European logistics platform with more than 3 billion euro in assets under management.

Blackrock

Simon Blundell is leaving Blackrock. The asset manager has confirmed that to news site Citywire. He now wants to focus on his family and his health.

Blundell was co-head of fixed income for EMEA. He had worked for Blackrock in London since 2011, initially as head of fixed income UK and later covering the entire EMEA region. He previously served as a senior portfolio manager at Aviva Investors and as a credit portfolio manager at ABN Amro UK.
