This week’s overview of people transfers and appointments includes updates from Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, KPMG and BDO Luxembourg, and Marktlink Capital.

Edmond de Rothschild AM builds quant team in Geneva

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has made a strategic move into quantitative investing with the recruitment of a six-person team that will develop active strategies based on advanced mathematical models and machine learning. The new unit will be led by Bruno Taillardat, a seasoned quant professional with 25 years of experience, until recently at Amundi, who joins as head of quantitative portfolio management. He will be based in Geneva and report to CIO Benjamin Melman, starting on 1 November 2025.

Joining Taillardat in Geneva are senior quant portfolio managers Xavier Marconnet and Frédéric Girod, along with two additional portfolio managers and a quant research analyst. Marconnet previously led “Core AI” active equity strategies at Unigestion and brings 20 years of experience in machine learning and algorithmic trading. Girod has a background spanning Koch Supply & Trading, UEFA, and Unigestion, with expertise in quantitative derivatives strategies and data science.

The strategic expansion into quantitative investing comes as Edmond de Rothschild AM, which manages 107 billion euro in assets, looks to capture increasing institutional and private client demand for data-driven portfolio solutions.
