
This week’s overview of people transfers and appointments includes updates from Mirabaud, Alfi, Carmignac and River Global.
BIL’s Serrurier-Hoël appointed CEO of Mirabaud
Émilie Serrurier-Hoël has left Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) and has been appointed chief executive officer of Mirabaud & Cie (Europe) SA, the European private bank of the Mirabaud Group, effective 16 June 2025. Based in Luxembourg, she will lead the group’s European wealth management business and report directly to Nicolas Mirabaud, chairman of the board of Mirabaud & Cie (Europe) and managing partner of Mirabaud SCA.
Serrurier-Hoël is responsible for the operational management of the group’s European platform, which includes the Luxembourg headquarters and branches in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Paris, and London. Her mandate includes driving business development in Europe and enhancing the platform’s operational efficiency and competitiveness.
At BIL, she served as director of the CEO’s office since January 2024 and was a member of the executive committee since 2018. Her earlier roles at BIL included head of wealth management, head of strategy and regulatory affairs, and head of process management and organisation, overseeing teams of up to 200 employees.
Serrurier-Hoël holds a master’s degree in management from EM Lyon Business School. Mirabaud had some 32 billion Swiss francs (34 billion euro) in assets under management at the end of last year.
New Alfi executive committee appointed
Jean-Marc Goy has been appointed chairperson of the executive committee of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (Alfi), following the board meeting on 7 July 2025.
Francesca Gigli Prym and Ulrich Juchem were named vice chairpersons, and Valeria Merkel was appointed treasurer. The committee will lead Alfi’s strategic direction on behalf of Luxembourg’s investment fund sector.
Charlotte Beaudoul joins Carmignac Belgium
Charlotte Beaudoul has joined Carmignac as business development director for Belgium. She will focus on French-speaking Belgium and reports to Marnix van den Berge, country head for Benelux and Nordics.
Beaudoul was previously a manager for financial advisors at Athora Belgium and earlier worked as a private banker at CBC Banque Namur. She holds a master’s degree in management sciences from the Louvain School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in law from the Haute Ecole de Hainaut - Condorcet.
Donald Amstad joins River Global as chief client officer
Donald Amstad has been appointed chief client officer at River Global, the boutique active equity asset manager. He will lead the firm’s distribution, marketing, and client services, reporting to CIO Matt Hudson.
Amstad brings over 40 years of industry experience, including 15 years at Aberdeen Asset Management in Singapore, where he was global head of client growth. He previously held roles at JP Morgan Asset Management, Bank of America, and Nomura.
