Hermann Beythan replaces Denise Voss as chairman of Luxflag
Sustainable finance labeling agency Luxflag has appointed Hermann Beythan as its new chairman, succeeding Denise Voss after her six-year tenure at the helm of the organisation. The transition was confirmed during Luxflag’s annual general meeting and June board meeting.
Beythan, a partner at law firm Linklaters in Luxembourg, takes on the role at a key moment for sustainable finance, as Luxflag continues its mission to promote transparency and impact across the sector.
The organisation paid tribute to Voss’s “remarkable dedication,” citing her leadership and vision as instrumental in strengthening both Luxflag and Luxembourg’s broader sustainable finance ecosystem. Voss works as an independent director in Luxembourg.
Sabrina Bodson joins Baker McKenzie Luxembourg as partner
Baker McKenzie Luxembourg has appointed Sabrina Bodson as a partner in its employment practice group. Bodson brings more than 16 years of legal expertise to the role, with a strong focus on remuneration policy, particularly in the financial services sector.
Her practice covers the entire employment cycle, including complex contract drafting, senior executive departures, internal investigations, and negotiations with staff representatives and unions.
Baker McKenzie has also announced the promotion of 59 lawyers to partner globally, effective 1 July 2025. With 48 lateral partners also joining Baker McKenzie’s offices this financial year, the law firm has added a total of 107 partners globally since 1 July 2024.
EFG Bank names Kefalogiannis as its CEO in Athens
Dimitrios Kefalogiannis has been appointed CEO of the Athens branch of EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A., as the bank looks to expand its footprint in Greece. With a career spanning more than 20 years in the financial sector, Kefalogiannis brings deep experience and a strong commitment to developing EFG International’s presence in the region.
In his new role, he will work closely with Lena Lascari, CEO of EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A., and Patrick Ramsey, head of continental Europe and the Middle East at EFG International, to drive the Swiss private bank’s growth strategy and deepen relationships with clients in the Greek market.
CBOE’s Stephen Dorrian joins EuroCTP’s advisory committee
Dutch-based realtime consolidated tape provider EuroCTP has appointed Stephen Dorrian, head of European market data and access at CBOE Global Markets, to its advisory committee. Dorrian brings extensive experience in market data, exchange connectivity, and European market structure.
His appointment comes as EuroCTP prepares to bid in the forthcoming EU tender for the first real-time consolidated tape for shares and ETFs. CEO Eglantine Desautel welcomed the addition, highlighting Dorrian’s role at CBOE as a key asset to shaping the governance and design of EuroCTP’s market data offering.
EuroCTP’s advisory committee includes representatives from academia, trading venues, asset managers, and investor associations to ensure broad stakeholder input. Current members include Albert J. Menkveld (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), Alexandre Roubaud (Blackrock), Christiane Baumgarten (Deutsche Börse), Eric Boess (Allianz GI), and Jessica Horsfall (Bloomberg), among others. Additional appointments are expected. EuroCTP, based in the Netherlands, aims to foster transparency and access to financial data through a robust, real-time consolidated tape solution for European markets.
