Schroders has appointed Guillaume Lendormy as head of cross-border financial institutions, a newly created role starting May 4. He will lead the firm’s global client strategy for large institutions operating across multiple jurisdictions and report to Matt Oomen, global head of client group.
Lendormy joins from PGIM Global Wealth, where he was responsible for global financial institutions across EMEA and Asia. He previously spent more than 10 years at Robeco in senior international roles. Schroders said the appointment reflects growing demand from complex institutional clients for coordinated, cross-border investment solutions.
Schroders, meanwhile, has appointed Patrick Schwyzer as head of client group Europe, taking responsibility for the firm’s client strategy across the region.
CEO to step down at Luxembourg fintech hub
Nasir Zubairi will step down as chief executive officer of the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) on June 15, according to Delano Luxembourg. He will remain in the role until then, with a successor yet to be appointed.
Deputy chief executive officer Alex Panican is expected to take on the role on an interim basis and is among several candidates under consideration. Zubairi has led LHoFT since its launch phase in 2017, helping establish it as a public-private platform for financial technology development in Luxembourg.
Feri appoints head of fixed income
German asset manager Feri has appointed Christopher Kuschel as head of fixed income, effective April 1. In the newly created role, he is responsible for the firm’s money market and bond strategies within its multi-asset platform and will support the expansion of traditional asset classes.
Kuschel joins from BNP Paribas in Frankfurt, where he was senior portfolio manager in discretionary portfolio management and led fixed income for wealth management in Germany. He has more than 16 years of experience and previously held roles at UBS Europe, including deputy head of asset management and treasury risk officer.
Chief risk officer to step down at Goldman Sachs AM
Patrick den Besten is leaving Goldman Sachs Asset Management after more than 25 years with the firm and its predecessors ING Investment Management and NN Investment Partners, he announced on LinkedIn. He most recently served in New York as global chief risk officer for GSAM Public.
Den Besten joined in 2000 as a portfolio manager for European equities and later led the emerging market equity research team. He also served for more than 6 years as chief risk officer and head of financial risk at NN Investment Partners. He has not announced his next role.
