Vincent Juvyns will join ING Belgium as chief investment strategist on 15 April, after twelve years at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. He will lead the local strategy team within the Investment Office and serve as the public face of ING Belgium’s investment expertise.
With this appointment, ING aims to reinforce its leadership position in Belgian investment banking. Juvyns will report directly to Frédéric Degembe, chief investment officer at ING Belgium.
“In Vincent, we are bringing in an experienced strategist who will help shape the team and create a structure that supports our ambition to become Belgium’s leading investment bank,” Degembe said.
J.P. Morgan informed staff of his departure on Thursday. Colleagues described him as “a strong, valuable, and friendly partner”.
Speaking to Investment Officer, Juvyns described the move as “a new challenge aligned with ING’s investment ambitions.” He added that he looked forward to collaborating with Bob Homan, who leads the group’s investment office.
Career comes full circle
The move marks a return to ING for Juvyns, who began his career at the bank.
“ING’s ambition to become Belgium’s leading investment bank fits perfectly with my passion for sharing market intelligence and high-quality investment strategies,” he said. “I look forward to this adventure and to contributing to ING’s investment positioning in Belgium.”
Juvyns spent the past twelve years at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he served as global market strategist. He provided market and economic insights to clients across the Benelux, France, Switzerland and the Middle East as part of the firm’s Market Insights program.
He earned a master’s degree in business economics and financial sciences from ICHEC Business School in Brussels.
