Nicolas Bannier (photo) will succeed Christophe Wintgens as Wealth & Asset Management Leader at EY Luxembourg, effective 1 July 2024. Olivier Bertrand will take over from Dietmar Klos as Real Estate Leader, also commencing 1 July 2024.

Wintgens, who joined EY in 1998, has made significant contributions to the firm’s growth, especially in the Wealth & Asset Management sector. Bannier, with the company since 2000, previously held the position of Wealth and Asset Management Audit Leader, managing a team of 150 professionals.

Olivier Coekelbergs, Country Managing Partner of EY Luxembourg, expressed gratitude for Wintgens› efforts and welcomed Bannier to his new role, emphasising his expertise in audit services and his commitment to digital innovation. “We eagerly anticipate the dynamism and energy he will bring to the team, replicating the wonderful history of teamwork and collaboration he has demonstrated throughout his career coupled with his exceptionally competitive spirit,” he said in a statement.

Klos, a partner with decades of international taxation experience for Real Estate funds, has led the EY Luxembourg Real Estate Sector since 2019. Bertrand, who joined EY in 2007, brings over 20 years of experience in international tax and has led the firm’s Private Equity Tax Practice since 2017. Coekelbergs acknowledged Klos› contributions to the real estate sector and EY›s growth, and he looks forward to Bertrand bringing energy and dynamism to his new role.

Bertrand’s strategy will aim to drive growth in transaction advisory while strengthening global compliance, reporting, and regulatory services. The leadership changes are designed to continue the growth and market leadership of EY Luxembourg’s Wealth & Asset Management and Real Estate sectors, focusing on digital innovation, client service excellence, and market expansion.
