Anna Zakrzewski has been appointed as the new Group Chief Operating Officer at Quintet Private Bank, headquartered in Luxembourg and active across Europe and the UK. Zakrzewski will take over from Eli Leenaars, who plans to retire at the end of the year. Her role will also extend to the authorized management committee, pending regulatory clearance.
Zakrzewski, with a considerable tenure at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), held the position of managing director and partner. She was also a part of BCG›s global financial institutions leadership team and oversaw the Wealth Management segment for a significant period. She officially started her position at Quintet on September 25, 2023.
Zakrzewski’s arrival marks the beginning of a transition period where she will work alongside the current Quintet Group COO, Eli Leenaars. Leenaars will retire by the end of the year after serving in executive roles at various banks across eight countries over the span of four decades. He is set to focus on his non-executive roles across the US and Europe and will dedicate more time to his personal business pursuits.

Group CEO Chris Allen remarked on the change, noting Zakrzewski’s extensive background in wealth management and expressing his gratitude for Leenaars› contributions to Quintet. “I am grateful to Eli for his important contribution to Quintet, including significantly enhancing our
core processes, facilitating greater efficiency and increased collaboration in service to our clients,” he said in a statement.
Leenaars spoke about his upcoming retirement, expressing his intent to ensure a smooth transition for Zakrzewski. He emphasized his belief in Quintet’s potential and thanked his team and all Quintet employees for their dedication. “I am convinced that Quintet has all the
ingredients to become a truly leading, client-focused bank,» he said.
On her appointment, Zakrzewski shared her enthusiasm for joining Quintet and putting her expertise in wealth management into action. She highlighted Quintet’s commitment to client experience and service.
