Apex Group on Monday said it has been appointed to provide corporate, administrative and trustee services to the Nasdaq-listed Luxembourg platform of Eqonex Limited, a digital assets financial services company. Eqonex recently launched an Exchange Traded Note in bitcoin on Frankfurt’s Xetra market.
Eqonex is a technology-driven digital assets financial services group operating an ecosystem which has been designed to accommodate the needs of institutions and individuals with the same degree of regulatory oversight and security they are accustomed to in traditional financial markets.
Bermuda-based Apex, one of Luxembourg’s biggest financial services groups that also includes FundRock and LRI Invest, will provide Eqonex with administration and trustee services for its Luxembourg platform. Apex will also provide back-office administration support services reconciling the creation/sell activity for the notes issued.

Eqonex recently launched its first Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Note on the Deutsche Börse Xetra Exchange. Eqonex’s Bitcoin ETN offers investors direct exposure to Bitcoin via an exchange-traded product and the benefit of free redemptions for the underlying Bitcoin and low management fees. The note trades under the ticker EQ1B and is available only to Germany-based investors.
Apex said it will support the firm via its capital markets business that helps clients plan and execute a broad cross-section of market transactions to facilitate growth, respond to regulatory change, or manage risk.
