This week’s overview of transfers and other people moves in and around Luxembourg includes updates from Baloise Luxembourg, Hauck & Aufhäuser, Schroders Capital, Capital Group, and Société Générale.
Tine Vanmassenhove
Tine Vanmassenhove has been appointed commercial director for the Belgian market at Baloise Luxembourg. She will focus on strengthening relationships with broker partners and expanding the firm’s life insurance sales activities in Belgium. With extensive experience in the sector, she aims to enhance service quality and support Baloise’s growth in this key market.
Vanmassenhove has over 15 years of experience in relationship management and commercial operations within the financial sector. A Flemish Belgian national, she has an in-depth understanding of the market and its key stakeholders.
She began her career at ABN Amro Asset Management as a client relationship officer before joining Lombard International Assurance, where she held several senior roles, including head of business development for Belgium and Luxembourg. In 2022, she joined ING Luxembourg as a private banker, advising high-net-worth clients on bespoke banking, wealth management, and insurance solutions.
Her appointment aligns with Baloise Luxembourg’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Belgium. Laurent Heiles, commercial director and director of international life, said Vanmassenhove’s expertise will be instrumental in consolidating existing partnerships and establishing new long-term collaborations.
Christoph Kraiker and Christian Mader
Christoph Kraiker has been appointed chief executive of Hauck & Aufhäuser Fund Services (Hafs), while Christian Mader takes over as chief executive of Hauck & Aufhäuser Administration Services (Haas), a fully owned subsidiary specialising in fund administration. The leadership changes come as part of a broader reshuffle affecting the company’s 110 billion euro asset management business.
Kraiker, who has served on the Hafs board since 2019, takes over the role with immediate effect. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the investment fund industry, having previously held senior roles in fund services and client advisory. Lisa Backes, also a board member, has been appointed deputy chief executive.
Mader, previously a member of the Haas management board, steps into the role of chief executive. Ingo Gozemba has been named deputy chief executive. Mader has over two decades of experience in financial services, with a background in strategic consultancy, regulatory implementation, and process optimisation for financial institutions and asset managers.
ABN Amro last year acquired the German private banking business of Hauck & Aufhauser. The firm’s Luxembourg-based entities—Hafs and Haas—were not part of that transaction. They collectively employ some 350 people.
Vikram Bhandari
Vikram Bhandari has been appointed head and chief investment officer of Schroders Capital Solutions, a newly created role at Schroders Capital, the 97.3 billion dollar private markets business of Schroders. He is based in London and reports to Ingo Heinen, global head of business development and product.
Bhandari joins from Blackrock, where he was a senior portfolio manager and led the expansion of its multi-alternatives private markets solutions business in EMEA. Over seven years, he worked with defined benefit and defined contribution pensions, insurers, family offices, and institutional investors.
At Schroders Capital, he will lead the firm’s private markets solutions strategy and execution, working with clients across private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and private debt. His appointment reflects Schroders Capital’s focus on customising private markets portfolios to meet the evolving needs of institutional and wealth clients.
Jenna Lawford
Jenna Lawford has been appointed head of client relations, Europe, at Capital Group. Based in London, she will report to Grant Leon, head of European client group.
Lawford will lead a team focused on client servicing and engagement with senior executives across Europe. She has also held senior roles at Lyxor Asset Management, JP Morgan Asset Management, and Legal and General Investment Management.
