Consulting and accounting firm PwC Luxembourg has announced its new “country leadership team” after a vote by the firm’s partners on 10 February 2023.

The team which, according to the PwC press release, collectively possesses “a wealth of local and international client experience” will consist – as from 1 July 2023 — of Olivier Carré, a technology and transformation leader, as well as deputy managing partner; Isabelle Duvergne, assurance leader; Björn Ebert, financial services leader, François Génaux, advisory leader; Roxane Haas, people leader, Vincent Lebrun, tax leader and Cécile Liégeois, clients and markets leader.

It will be led by Managing Partner-elect François Mousel.

Well-diversified team

“Careful consideration and consultation with the broader partnership went into the selection of our diverse Country Leadership Team and significant work currently goes into the transition from one leadership team to this new one to ensure a smooth and successful succession,” said Mousel in the PwC release. “It’s a well diversified team in terms of age, gender, nationality and business background.”

The line-up of the new team includes the firm’s three traditional business. The inclusion of a technology and transformation leader “gives recognition to the broad shift that is occurring in our service delivery, the wider technology adoption, and the increasing expectations and needs in terms of managed services,” said the release.

Importance of people

The team also recognises the importance of the “people” dimension, as “a challenging topic in the Luxembourg market.” Human resources are vital in supporting the ambitious business growth PwC is planning for the near future. This is especially true “amidst the challenges in recruitment and retention” as well as the development of service delivery from outside Luxembourg.

From 27 March, PwC Luxembourg will launch an extensive, multi-week campaign allowing people to meet the new team, starting with an introduction to Olivier Carré in his upcoming role.

PwC Luxembourg is part of PwC’s global network of nearly 328,000 staff.
