Martin Rauchenwald

Martin Rauchenwald (photo) has been appointed as managing partner and global practice leader for financial services at Arthur D. Little. 

Rauchenwald, based in Zurich, has over 23 years of executive-level experience in the financial services market as both a trusted advisor and banker. He takes a holistic perspective of transformation needs and opportunities in financial services, and in the last three years, he has undertaken a steep learning curve as a private equity investor.

He has advised more than 100 clients across Europe in the last 10 years, including private sector firms, regulators, and industry bodies. He is a top executive with experience building and transforming companies from pre-seed start-ups to multi-billion-dollar financial institutions.

Barry Glavin

State Street Global Advisors’ Barry Glavin has been appointed as head of equity investment platform at Amundi.  The firm said the appointment will strengthen its Equity set-up.

Prior to joining Amundi, Glavin was the Chief Investment Officer of State Street Global Advisors’ Fundamental Value Equities team since 2013. He was previously Head of Research, Fundamental Equities. He joined State Street Global Advisors in 2006 from HSBC Asset Management where he was a portfolio manager, then an equity analyst between 2000 and 2006. Barry began his career in finance as an exchange-traded derivatives broker.

Barry is a graduate in Politics and Philosophy from University College Dublin, and is a CFA charterholder.

Vafa Ahmadi, head of Thematic Equities for CPR Asset Management, will expand his role to oversee Global Thematic Equity for Amundi.

Kurt Baes

Arthur D. Little has recently announced significant organisational changes. One of them concerns Belgium and Luxembourg. Kurt Baes has been appointed as Managing Partner, leading Arthur D. Little in Belgium and Luxembourg. 

With over 25 years of strategy consulting experience, Baes advises energy, utility, aerospace, automotive and manufacturing companies on growth strategy, performance improvement, and large organisational transformation. Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia and the Americas, he advises CXOs in international majors with hands-on strategy and operations expertise. Baes is the local leader of various industry and functional practices, and is Chairman of Arthur D. Little’s Global Partnership Committee.

Marc Bussutil

Marc Bussutil has been named board member at IIA Luxembourg, the institute of internal auditors. He is a partner in audit and governance at Haca Partners.

Julie Dubuisson

Julie Dubuisson has been appointed Chair of the ACA International Non-Life Committee and Board member. ACA is the trade association for the Luxembourg insurance sector.

Alexandra Dumitru 

Alexandra Dumitru has been appointed Local Event Officer at EFG Luxembourg. She joined the bank 13 years ago.
