This week’s overview of transfers, appointments and promotions includes updates from Linklaters, Allianz Global Investors and La Française.

Paul-Sébastien Carteret

Paul-Sébastien Carteret, until recently at BIL Manage Invest, has joined Luxembourg law firm Clément Konrad & Partner as Partner to strengthen its investment fund practice. His practice comprises legal and regulatory advisory in the fields of regulated and unregulated/alternative investment funds, private equity, M&A, finance, and capital markets.

Carteret gained substantial professional experience within the major Luxembourg law firm Elvinger Hoss as well as being instrumental in the creation of the investment fund practice of a Luxembourg boutique firm. He was also active as the general counsel, secretary general and member of the executive committee of the BIL Manage Invest, the Luxembourg Manco/AIFM of Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, the Grand Duchy’s oldest systemic bank.

Carteret has received high praise for his work in leading legal directories, including Legal 500. IFLR 1000 has recognized him as a rising star. He holds a master in Comparative Law and passed the Luxembourg Bar in 2007  He is French native, fully fluent in English and proficient in German.

Marie Sinniger

Marie Sinniger (photo) will be joining law firm Linklaters as Luxembourg’s Head of Employment. This appointment is the 53rd hire within Linklaters Luxembourg office since January, further bolstering the firm’s platform in the jurisdiction and responding to client demand. She will report to Alexandra Beidas, Global Head of Employment & Incentives, and Nicki Kayer, Luxembourg Managing Partner.

The firm said her practice addresses all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law.  She also represents employers in a wide range of employment law disputes. Sinniger joins the firm alongside Thomas Alberti who also joins the Linklaters Employment & Incentives practice as a managing associate. Together with Alyssia Mechalikh, associate in the Luxembourg office, they will be reinforcing the existing employment offering.

This is the latest addition to the global Employment & Incentives practice having recently welcomed Janet Lee, Senior Counsel into the firm’s New York Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits practice. 

Andrea Bertocchini

Andrea Bertocchini has been named as Head of Benelux and Nordics at La Française, a Paris-based asset management group with over 45 billion euro in assets under management. She will report to announces Gerardo Duplat, Head of International Business Development. He has already served La Française for nine years.

Bertocchini benefits from twenty years of international experience in asset management and brings to investors a knowledge of real and listed assets, as well as an understanding of cross-cultural relations. He began his career with Carmignac in Luxembourg in 2003, before joining Chahine Capital in 2006 as Institutional Sales Manager.

In 2010, he joined BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management as Business Development Manager - Benelux, Switzerland and UK, acquiring a real estate expertise, a necessary asset for supporting institutional investors’ allocation strategies. He then embarked on a nine-year career with La Francaise, during which he developed the group’s business first in Benelux, then in the Nordics and finally in Italy. 

Vincent Teichmann

Vincent Teichmann has left Frankfurt-based private bank Hauck Aufhauser Lampe and started a new professional chapter in his career as Vice President and Communications Manager at Allianz Global Investors. He will support the firm’s press relations as part of Marion Leblanc-Wohrer›s Global Media Relations Team, together with Klaus Papenbrock for the markets Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
