This week’s overview of transfers, appointments, promotions and other career news includes updates from Edmond de Rothschild, M&G Investments, Warburg Pincus, Currentis and PwC Luxembourg.
Regine Wiedmann
Regine Wiedmann (photo) has been appointed head of distribution for the DACH region at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management. Wiedmann, who has been head of distribution Germany & Austria since January 2022, will now also assume responsibility for Switzerland.
In her new role, Wiedmann will oversee sales activities for institutional clients and distributors in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. She will report directly to Marie Jacot, global head of distribution at Edmond de Rothschild AM, and will be based between Frankfurt and Geneva.
Wiedmann has over 18 years of experience in asset management and sales within the German-speaking markets. She joined Edmond de Rothschild AM in June 2021 as co-head of sales Germany & Austria, later becoming head of sales Germany & Austria. Prior to her tenure at Edmond de Rothschild, Wiedmann was an executive director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Andrew Chorlton and Jim Leaviss
Andrew Chorlton has been appointed Chief Investment Officer of M&G Investments› 160 billion euro Fixed Income division. He succeeds Jim Leaviss, who is leaving the company to pursue personal interests in academia after a 27-year career with M&G.
Chorlton is currently head of fixed Income at Schroders and a member of the firm’s group management committee. He will join M&G later this year, reporting to Joseph Pinto, CEO of M&G Investments.
Chorlton brings over 25 years of experience in fixed income markets, including portfolio management in global fixed income, US multi-sector, and credit strategies in Europe and the US. Since 2020, he has led a global division of investment, research, risk, and product professionals.
Leaviss has significantly contributed to M&G›s growth in fixed income, building a globally recognized platform and launching innovative investment products. He also founded the award-winning Bond Vigilantes blog in 2006.
Erik Langaker
Erik Langaker has been appointed senior advisor to Warburg Pincus LLC and its European team, effective July 1st.
Langaker brings over 30 years of experience in creating and building international technology companies based in the Nordic countries and the UK. Recently, he has served as chair and investor in companies such as CMR Surgical (UK) Ltd, PragmatIC Semiconductor (UK) Ltd, StormGeo Group, Papirfly Group, and Kezzler. Additionally, he has been an investor and non-executive director or chair in public companies like Datarespons, Zalaris, and Meltwater.
Warburg Pincus LLC is a leading global growth investor with more than 83 billion dollar in assets under management.
Dominik Schick
Dominik Schick has been appointed as the new managing director of Curentis AG in Switzerland.
Schick has been with Curentis since 2021, serving as the head of one of the anti-financial crime consulting teams. His leadership and track record in this role have paved the way for his new position, where he will leverage his expertise to drive the Swiss operations forward.
Clotilde Buriez and Stefan Rech
Clotilde Buriez and Stefan Rech have joined PwC Luxembourg as partners effective 1 July 2024. Buriez will serve as partner in audit real estate, while Rech will be partner for private equity and venture capital, alternative investments.
PwC Luxembourg is expanding its assurance services in response to the growth of the alternatives market segment. Buriez and Rech will play pivotal roles in supporting, complementing, and enhancing the existing team.
