Joerg Ambrosius has been appointed president of Investment Services at State Street Corporation, the company announced on August 12. Ambrosius, who previously served as executive vice president and chief commercial officer, will now lead State Street’s largest business unit. He brings over 30 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on client management, sales, and revenue growth for asset managers and institutional investors.

Ambrosius took on an expanded role in October 2023, overseeing Investment Services› client-facing activities and managing its international operations. His new position is expected to enhance the execution of the business, streamline decision-making, and improve the delivery of products and services to clients globally. He will continue to report directly to Ron O’Hanley, chairman and CEO of State Street.

Mostapha Tahiri will remain as State Street’s chief operating officer, focusing on global operations and technology. Tahiri, who was appointed in October 2023, will continue to report to O’Hanley, working alongside Ambrosius to support State Street’s strategy and client service.

Janus Henderson

Gaetan D’Hondt is the new director of Sales Benelux at the British-American asset manager Janus Henderson. D’Hondt studied economics at Ghent University and previously worked at KBC Asset Management as a portfolio manager for private clients. He then spent over four years at Degroof Petercam Asset Management, where he was responsible for sales to institutional clients.

Since 2019, D’Hondt – an avid triathlete – has been affiliated with Natixis Investment Management, serving as the managing director of the Belgian branch. At Janus Henderson, he will report to Sander Van Der Ent, head of the Benelux & Nordics Client Group.

CCF

Tom Mondelaers (1971) is set to become the CIO of the French bank Groupe CCF. Mondelaers has spent the past 22 years at BlackRock, where he originally started as a corporate credit fund manager. In recent years, he has been head of European and Global Credit. Mondelaers previously also worked for the Philips Pension Fund, AXA Investment Managers, and AXA Bank. He studied at the University of Leuven and Manchester Business School.
