This week’s overview of transfers in the fund and asset management sector includes appointments at FE fundinfo, Allianz Global Investors and Capex.com.

Liam Healey 

Liam Healy (photo) has been appointed as chief executive officer at FE fundinfo, a specialist in  investment fund data and technology, effective 4 September 2023. FE fundinfo is the parent company of Fundsquare, a Luxembourg provider of fund distribution services.

Healey joins from the executive leadership team at Diligent, a governance, risk and compliance SaaS company, where he was managing director and senior vice president for their international business. He brings with him more than 15 years of executive leadership experience, focused on delivering customer value through go-to-market strategy, product delivery and mergers and acquisitions.

“Liam’s background makes him a great fit for us, with his extensive experience in SaaS and his broad international experience across Europe, Asia and the US, which will perfectly support our aspirations to grow internationally as well as in our core markets such as Luxembourg, Switzerland, Australia and the UK,” said David Blumer, chairman, FE fundinfo, in a statement. 

Thomas Schindler

sAsset manager Allianz Global Investors has announced the appointment of Thomas Schindler as its new chief financial officer. He will succeed Markus Kobler, who has been in the role at AllianzGI since 2013.

Schindler will assume responsibility for the firm’s finance and governance functions. This will include ongoing responsibility for legal, compliance and risk management, over which he is responsible in his current capacity as Global General Counsel.

Since joining Allianz Group in 2006, Thomas has held a number of roles, all of which have been within its asset management division. 

“We are grateful to Markus for his 10 years of service as CFO at AllianzGI; he’s been a great colleague who has contributed to our success. He takes on a challenge outside of Allianz with our best wishes,” said Tobias Pross, CEO of AllianzGI, in a statement. “Thomas is the natural successor as CFO; he has a proven track record of leadership, negotiation and decision-making as well as already being responsible for our governance disciplines. I am confident that the CFO transition will be both seamless and successful.”

Maria Evripidou

Maria Evripidou has been appointed as head of product at Capex.com, a multi-asset financial services provider. She will report directly to Octavian Patrascu, the firm’s global CEO. Capex, which aims to become a leading global brokerage for online trading.
