Global asset manager Columbia Threadneedle Investments on Monday said it has appointed Jill Griffin to the newly created role of head of Luxembourg. She will report to David Logan, global chief operating officer.
Over the last few years, Columbia Threadneedle’s Luxembourg business and fund range has continued to form an increasingly important part of its expanded European business and today’s appointment further strengthens this commitment. In her role, Jill will support both local employees and the continued promotion of the business with local stakeholders, including regulators and service providers.
“To ensure the Columbia Threadneedle brand is well represented in the local market, we identified the need for further senior representation for the Luxembourg business,” David Logan, Global Chief Operating Officer at Columbia Threadneedle, said in a statement. “With Jill’s experience we are positioned to continue to build on our success in Europe, maintaining strong links with the local regulatory and business community.”
Griffin joins Columbia Threadneedle from Allspring Investments, where she spent five years as General Manager and Head of International Governance. She has over 30 years of experience in financial services, beginning her career as a trainee stockbroker in London.
