This week’s overview of transfers, appointments and promotions includes updates from Fidelity, KPMG Luxembourg, Kneip, Creutz & Partners and Allen & Overy.
Talib Sheikh
Jupiter Asset Management’s Talib Sheikh (photo) will join Fidelity later this year, replacing Eugene Philalithis as lead portfolio manager across multi asset income strategies, including the flagship, 6.2 billion dollar multi asset income fund Global Multi Asset Income. Sheikh was at Jupiter for nearly five years. Before Jupiter he served nearly two decades at JP Morgan Asset Management in London.
Mario Baronci
Mario Baronci will join the Fidelity team as portfolio manager in the autumn. Based in Italy, Baronci brings an extensive expertise in multi asset portfolio management, with a focus on strategies designed to preserve capital and generate attractive risk adjusted returns for investors over time. He joins from Quaestio Capital Management where he was Head of Multi Asset for nearly 10 years. Prior to this, he was Head of Multi Manager and Fixed Income at Sella Gestioni.
Eugene Philalithis
Eugene Philalithis will retire from Fidelity next year. He will step down as a named portfolio manager on 1 January, and will remain at Fidelity until 31 March, allowing significant time to ensure a smooth transition for clients. He will return to Fidelity later in 2024 in a role as senior advisor, mentoring team members and providing insight on markets.
KPMG Luxembourg
Paul Potocki, Stephanie Zedda, Maxime Eglizot and Nicolas Willemin have been promoted to partner at KPMG Luxembourg from 1 October. Ulrike Menn has been named as managing director for the financial services tax department.
Kimon Apostolidis
Kimon Apostolidis has joined fund data management firm Kneip as chief commercial officer after 15 years at the London Stock Exchange group, where he served as head of buy side sales. Earlier in his career he was at Refinitiv and Thomson Reuters. He is based in London.
Luisa Nadaud
Luisa Nadaud has joined law firm Allen & Overy as senior communications & PR officer. She joins from EY Luxembourg, where she served as supervising associate, communications & PR, between 2021 and 2023.
Marianne Heindrichs
Marianne Heindrichs has joined Creutz & Partners as junior portfolio manager from October. She previously worked 18 years at Belgian bank Belfius and brings to Creutz extensive experience from the Belgian banking sector. She is fluent in German, French, English, and Dutch.
