Investor confidence at highest level since January 2021
Investor confidence in Europe jumped in August and reached its highest level since January last year, according to the latest State Street Investor Confidence Index.
The investor confidence index, or ICI, for Europe jumped 20.4 points to 106 in August. Investor confidence in North America also increased, although merely 2.1 points to 106.5. The global investor confidence index rose to 107.3 in August, up from 102.2 in July.
Fund flows: UCITS and AIF funds attract lots of fresh money
The European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) has today published its latest monthly Investment Fund Industry Fact Sheet, providing data on net sales of UCITS and AIFs sold in June 2021, at a European level and by fund domicile.
Investor confidence recovers swiftly
State Street’s Global Investor Confidence Index increased to 94.3 points in June, more than 20 points higher than the low it reached at the height of the coronavirus crisis in April. European investors are most upbeat.
The confidence of European investors rose more than 11 points to 119.7, meaning the majority of investors on the continent are increasing their allocations to risky assets. Asian investor confidence moved backed to neutral, rising 18.6 points from its May reading.
