Waystone emerges as big gorilla in the Raif market
In the Luxembourg market for Reserved Alternative Investment Funds, Dublin-headquartered investment services firm Waystone has emerged as the biggest issuer by a landslide, analysis of 2022 data by Investment Officer Luxembourg shows. The list of most active Raif issuers also includes Carne Global - the number one issuer in previous years, One Funds and Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe.
The analysis showed that Luxembourg was home to a total of about 2125 Raifs at the end of last year after adding some 472 new funds during 2022.
Pandoo, as single brand, replaces Pandomus, Pancura
Two Luxembourg brand names in the alternative investments business are disappearing. Fund administration firm Pandomus and independent management company Pancura have been renamed under the single new brand of Pandoo.
Luxembourg Raif market back on track to beat 2021 record
A total of 43 new Reserved Alternative Investment Funds, or Raifs, were registered in Luxembourg during November, indicating that the market for these alternative investments is not slowing down after all, according to data released by Luxembourg Business Register.
Luxembourg real estate fund assets up 26% vs year ago
Real Estate Investment Funds, or Reifs, in Luxembourg saw total assets climb by 26 percent in the year running up to the end of the third quarter, to 131 billion euro. The number of Reifs increased by 20 percent to 621 funds.
The latest edition of the Reif survey conducted by the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry, or Alfi, showed that multi-sector allocations remain the most popular strategy for Reif investors, with 49 percent.
Lacklustre mood hits private markets at year-end
Fresh registrations for alternative investment funds in Luxembourg, considered the top European hub for private investments, this month are at their lowest monthly level in nearly six years. Regulatory changes as well as market conditions are cited as a reason for the slowdown. Some issuers have decided to wait for the new year to avoid regulatory reporting in 2022.

Nuveen raises €250 mln with energy transition credit Raif
Nuveen Infrastructure’s Glennmont Partners, a major clean energy infrastructure manager, on Thursday said it has raised 250 million euro through its energy transition enhanced credit II strategy, or ETEC II, based on a Luxembourg alternative fund.
The ETEC II fund is one of the new Reserved Alternative Investment Funds, or Raifs, that were officially registered in Luxembourg this month.
