This week’s overview of transfers and appointments in the fund and asset management community in and outside Luxembourg includes updates from State Street, Clearwater Analytics, Axa Investment Managers, Blackrock and S&P Global.
Eric Aboaf
Eric Aboaf (photo), vice chairman and chief financial officer (cfo) of State Street Corporation, will leave the company in February 2025 to pursue a new opportunity outside of banking, as cfo at S&P Global. State Street said it has begun an internal and external search for Aboaf’s successor, and he will remain with the company until February to ensure a smooth transition.
Ron O’Hanley, chairman and chief executive officer of State Street, praised Aboaf’s contributions, saying, “Over the past eight years, Eric has made a significant impact on our financial and business performance. I have greatly valued our partnership, and I thank Eric for his leadership and wish him well in his new role.”
Adrien de La Grange
Adrien de La Grange has been appointed head of sales for France, Belgium, and Luxembourg at Clearwater Analytics, effective 15 October. De La Grange joins from BlackRock, where he spent 17 years leading the financial institutions group. He holds a master’s degree in management, specialising in finance, from Skema Business School.
Clearwater Analytics also announced two additional appointments.
Amina Troger has been named head of global delivery for the EMEA region, while José Salas will serve as head of partnerships and alliances for the same region. These moves are part of Clearwater’s efforts to strengthen its team in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Clearwater Analytics provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) investment management solution, offering services such as data aggregation, reconciliation, accounting, performance reporting, compliance, and risk management. The company manages over 7.3 billion dollars in assets.
Megan Brennan
Megan Brennan has been appointed portfolio manager in AXA Investment Managers› thematic equity team, based in London. She will report to Tom Riley, head of global thematic strategies for AXA IM Core, and will work alongside portfolio manager Gregg Bridger, co-managing some of AXA IM’s global thematic strategies. Brennan joins from Sarasin & Partners, where she spent seven years as a portfolio manager and analyst on thematic equity and multi-asset funds.
AXA meanwhile appointed Britta Hion as head of North American distribution, a newly created role. Hion joins from Barings, where she held the same position. Before that, she spent 12 years at BlackRock, including as global co-head of the alternatives client platform. She also previously worked at Schroders.
