The Luxembourg Stock Exchange has appointed Maxime Aerts as its new Chief Information Officer, effective 1 November 2025. He has served as interim CIO since 1 June, following the departure of Laurent Pulinckx, who held the position for six years.

Aerts brings a combined background in financial services and technology, with previous leadership experience at LuxSE and in the broader financial infrastructure space. He is expected to lead the Exchange’s IT strategy at a time of rapid technological change. CEO Julie Becker cited his deep knowledge of the institution’s infrastructure and his focus on aligning business goals with digital solutions as key strengths.

BNP Paribas Cardif 

BNP Paribas Cardif has announced a series of changes to its executive leadership team, including the appointment of Charlotte Chevalier as deputy CEO responsible for France and Luxembourg. Chevalier, who joined the insurer in 2019, has held various roles in strategy, M&A, and product development, most recently serving as CEO for the EMEA region.

Maxime Boyer Chammard has been named chief operating officer. He has been with BNP Paribas since 2000, previously leading operations and digital transformation at BNP Paribas Securities Services. Michael Nguyen takes over as CEO for Asia, while Nicolas Villet has been appointed CEO for EMEA.

APG

APG Asset Management has appointed Brian Hung as head of real estate for the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong, Hung has been with APG for over 11 years, serving as portfolio manager and director in private real estate.

Prior to joining APG, he worked as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York and Hong Kong.

Apex Group/EDB

David Rhydderch has joined the executive board of European Depositary Bank (EDB) to lead the Apex Group’s banking division and oversee its digital transformation. Rhydderch brings over 25 years of international financial services experience, having worked on both the buy- and sell-side with global banks and specialised firms. 

He joined Apex in 2018 following its acquisition of Deutsche Bank’s Alternative Fund Services unit, where he held leadership roles for over a decade. Since June 2025, he has been based in Luxembourg, where he now leads the banking operations of EDB, acquired by Apex in 2019.
